Lobby Day 2019

Join the League of Women Voters of Illinois for Lobby Day 2019 on Wednesday, April 10th. We are hoping to gather all voices: League members, community members, engaged citizens and everyone in between to join us for a training and briefing on League supported legislation and to schedule meetings with key legislators to make our voices heard.

The goal of Lobby Day is to create a League presence in Springfield and to build and maintain relationships with legislators. Whether or not you are pushing a bill, and in some cases, the legislator and LWV are already on the same page regarding the bill; we go to Springfield to connect and make the LWV a visible, viable presence in Springfield. 

All are encouraged to find out whom in your League plans on participating, and decide who will contact your legislators’ offices to make appointments at 10:30 am or later to see them in their Springfield offices as soon as possible. Fee is $10 per person. Lunch will be provided.
